Start with your type of training and the fit. A collection or colour alone does not tell you which glove weight suits your class.

Determine your use

Bag work, pads and sparring can place different demands on glove weight. Ask your trainer what weight is used in your class.

Try them on with hand wraps

Wear the hand wraps you use during training. Check whether you can make a fist and whether the closure fits tightly.

Check the model details

Oz is the weight of the glove, not a universal hand size. The interior space and shape may differ per model.

The weights below are from the general Booster guideline for beginners. These are starting points, not fixed sparring or competition rules. The requirements of your trainer and the fit of the chosen model remain decisive.

Are all Booster boxing gloves made of leather?+

No. The Bangkok line is described by Booster as using synthetic leather, while the BGL V3 line uses cowhide leather. Check the material of the exact model.

Can I choose my oz weight based on body weight alone?+

Body weight helps with an initial comparison. The type of training, gym rules and fit together determine which version you choose. Coordinate sparring gloves with your trainer.

Are there also mini and MMA gloves here?+

This selection focuses on closed training boxing gloves. Decorative mini gloves and open MMA gloves are not included in this buying guide.
